I just learned about this day. I think it is important because I have noticed in the past 20 years a sharp decline in the number of frog voices in the spring. Let's do something now before all the worlds frogs are gone.
I just found you via the Hip Homeschool Hop, and I'm so glad I did! And, I didn't know about Frog Day. We inherited two baby frogs when two of my kids went to a science seminar and came home with tadpoles. We reared them through the summer last year, and they both transformed into frogs. Now we have two tanks set up so they can live independently, but everything I've read says not to release them into the wild. The biggest challenge we face is getting them to eat.
We LOVE our frogs! We have a "wetland" behind our house. The Spring Peepers and Wood Frogs can get LOUD, but we love their calls! Stopping by from HHH!
